It’s true!

When I created this site, I wrote some pretentious waffle here about my study and my muses and birds singing in the goddamn trees. I placed a photo of said trees and birds and wasn’t it all so whimsical?

Shit happened and things looked dire and yet now, what’s that I see? A silver lining? Is this year going to be my year? We’ll see.

Anyhoo, here’s the official bit:

Amanda Kool has been writing for most of her life, starting on her mother’s typewriter. Employed as a technical/proposal writer, she hones her fiction skill authoring crime, speculative, and science fiction.

Kool co-authored 1000 Mettle Folds with horror author Steve Gerlach, and she wrote the children’s book The Paper Fox with her brother, Jeremy Kool, as illustrator.

Her novella, Resembling Lepus, was published by Grey Matter Press in April 2022.

(While you're here, check out the artist who created the background for this site, as well as the cover for Tallwood and all the art of The Paper Fox! Jeremy Kool, my talented sibling. 3-D artist extraordinaire!)

And yes, 'Kool' is a real name. It's Dutch.
